So if you not up on slang let me give you the origin and history of the word "tripping." It's a word that originated on the west coast. It has numerous meanings. It can mean you're not in your right mind. It can mean your being too nervous. It can mean you're laughing hysterically at something. Last night all of these meanings applied along with the literal meaning of the word when I was watching Dahntay Jones. He was tripping Kobe Bryant. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. He stuck his foot out and tripped the man on purpose. I started tripping as I rewinded it to look at it again. I said to myself "This dude is tripping." What is he thinking? Then I watched the Lakers just roll over and die last night and thought "Man, the Lakers are trippin'." Kobe is carrying the team, and right now Lamar Odom is invisible. Kobe can't do much more, he is going to need assistance. And if the Lakers don't figure something out fast, they may get "tripped up" on their way to the Finals.
Who's who?
So coming in everyone knew that the Lakers had more weapons right? Everyone just knew for a fact the Lakers can hurt you from inside or outside and they had #24. But it seems to me like the Nuggets are the ones getting points from everywhere. Nuggets had 7 guys in double figures yesterday, had 42 points off the bench and three guys that had more than 13 rebounds. The Lakers, on the other hand, seemed uninterested yesterday to give Kobe any help. Hey, is it me or do the Nuggets seem to be punking the Lakers? Deja Vu?
I SAID "NO MO"
I think Mo Williams may want to keep his mouth
shut. This is not the time to start making predictions and guarantees. Mo hasn't been stellar in this series. Maybe he should star in this movie. But seriously, why do guys do this? Is it for motivation? Is it to hype themselves up? The problem is it puts more pressure on you and your teammates while motivating the other team. The Magic are already mad because of all of these commercials depicting Lebron and Kobe in the NBA Finals. Do you think you need to add more fuel to the fire? Hey Williams, you're tripping. I don't think you should say that NO MO!
HELP ME HELP YOU
Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will again tangle with the Orlando Magic tonight. Maybe it' s just Lebron. Let me leave the "and Cleveland Cavaliers" part off. James is averaging 41.7 points per game. That is too huge of a load for even a King. James is a guy who is a tremendous passer and would like to get other guys involved. I think James would gladly pass off some of the weight of this series, but they have to help James by hitting some shots.
WANTED
Physical and abusive. Uses elbows to inflict harm on opponents.
Assassinated the entire Lakers squad in huge shoot out. May appear docile at times but can explode and erupt at any moment. Be very very careful.
Will use extreme and unusual tactics to take down his victims. Very explosive temper. Must be apprehended
Mentally unstable. Said that his team is the best team in basketball. Approach with caution. Has ability to hurt opponents, but hasn't shown it lately.
Sang a horrible version of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at the Chicago Cubs game. Needs to be apprehended immediately. Should never sing again. I pity the fool who had to be subjected to that.
