CAN I GET A WITNESS?

WHAT DID I JUST WITNESS?
The slogan that Nike uses "WE ARE ALL WITNESSES" never made more sense to me than it did last night.  We can talk about how great Lebron is all night long, and I still can't really believe what I saw.  Do you people understand what really happened?  If you don't let me help you.  Lebron had a triple double with 37 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists.  The Cleveland Cavaliers and Coach Mike James were so desperate for a win they abandoned all plays.  They simply threw the ball to the King at the top of the key and just said "Save us your Highness."  There was no ball movement, no fluidity about it.  Everyone knew he was going to shot.  Everyone knew he was the focus.  The Magic could do nothing.  He did everything but create the universe last night.  He scored, he assisted, he rebounded.  Ben Roethlisberger, Mariano Rivera, Alex Rodriguez and Jay-Z were all in attendance.  I don't think any of them every dominated in their craft like Lebron James did last night.   I was a witness.

WAS THAT THE DOORBELL?
Yes it was.  And when you open the door it is Mo Williams.  Williams finally showed up for dinner last night and he couldn't have come at a better time.  Williams has the been the missing factor all series for the Cavs.   Williams was able to chip in with 24 points and finally put on his costume and became "Robin" for the caped crusader named Lebron.  Williams can't be sitting like he is in this picture watching Lebron James season the meat, cut it, cook it and serve it.  He has to be part of the process.

WHO IS MIKE BROWN?
I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know the Cleveland Cavaliers Coach's name.  He may need to do something to bring some attention to himself like that rapper Mike Jones.  It's not like his name or his coaching ability stands out.    I have some of my blog followers sending me messages questioning the man's coaching ability.  Let's be honest people.  Can the man really win in this position?  He is ultimately overshadowed by James.  He's been to the NBA Finals which wasn't enough.  He's coaching Lebron James and really Lebron probably coaches him.  He doesn't want any problems.  Everybody questioning him because he stands there and lets Lebron do it all.  Hey, maybe he's smart.  Maybe he knows what we are trying to ignore.  The rest of the Cavs aren't that good.  Maybe it was brilliant what Brown did.  Give it to Lebron, sit down and shut the hell up.

TONIGHT DOESN'T MATTER
Now obviously the Nuggets are going to put up a major fight tonight.  We know that.  The Nuggets are a very tough team and they are going to bring everything they have to the Lakers this evening. They're probably going to beat the Lakers and force a Game 7.  Then what?  You guessed it.  They'll probably get blown out!  So why even win tonight?  Just to give yourself a shot.   They always say you never know.  But I know this, no matter what Carmelo and the fellas do tonight, when they come back to Los Angeles, the lights are out, goose is cooked, chicken is on the grill and the barbecue sauce is ready.  I predict that Denver will win tonight.  Then in Game 7 they will get cooked.   Let's label that game "The Cookout."

LAKERS CAN'T BE BEAT
I'm not afraid to say this.  Nobody out of the East can beat the Lakers. The best chance would be the Denver Nuggets and they're down right now 3-2. To beat the Lakers you  have to be physical and the most physical team left in the playoffs are the Nuggets.  If Orlando wins, the Lakers have big bodies that can match up with Howard.  They also have the perimeter defenders that can guard Turkoglu and Lewis.  If the Cavs do the unthinkable and comeback, they just don't have enough firepower to mess with the Lakeshow.  But hey, I'm getting a little cocky here and if you're a Denver fan, you're probably not liking it too much.

RANDOM THOUGHTS
I'm thinking that I'm probably going to go through some Post Playoff Depression after this is over.  This has been a real joy to watch the NBA playoffs this year.  Then comes the most boring part of the year.  July to August.  Of course, there's baseball, but to me baseball pails in comparison to watching the NFL and the NBA.  Baseball is great live, being at the ball park and enjoying the weather, but on TV it has a long way to go.  But I guess I'll just have to tough it out for a few months, like Jay-Z with that new afro he's growing.
